Traditional Food Tripping Pangasinan
You've heard about pakbet, bangus, bagoong isda, kaleskesan, bagisen, binungey, pigar-pigar, tupig, Calasiao Puto at Kutsinta. Are some of the words sounds alien? No they aren't. They are dishes. These are the food I grew up with. My parents both originated from Pangasinan, although I live in Metro Manila and Pangalatok has never been my native tongue, my palate has always been with these Pangasinan dishes.

Bolinao Falls - an unexpected waterfall along the plains of Pangasinan
Bolinao, a town at the tip of Luzon's western peninsula is primarily a flat land lying below the plains just by the hills of Bani, Pangasinan. Although primarily a farm land, there are small rivers coming from the elevated lands of Bani that are rushing down to the shores of Bolinao. One of quite unexpected wonder of this topography is the existence of a waterfall in the middle of plains.

Casio G-Shock Rangeman Review
Since 1990's the Casio G-Shock series has been a watch of my choice. By its name these watches are expected to be durable by being shock-resistant, water resistant to 20BARs (200,000 hPa) or 200 times the normal atmospheric pressure at the earth's surface or approximately 200 meters below sea. In this article, we test the capability of Casio G-Shock's new creation, the Rangeman which is built for hikers and mountaineers.

Expeditions Log 2014
As we have ended the year 2014, we bring back a throwback of the accomplishments, travels and mapping expeditions we made the past year.
We have completed nine major mapping expeditions this year. Seven of which are on various towns spread across Luzon and the island of Mindoro while two of which are mountain expeditions to the Luzon's highest peak and the Philippines' third; and the never before mapped mid-section area of Cavite's jungle, the Palay-Palay Mataas na Gulod Mountain range.

Travel Guide to Bolinao - an escape awaits at the top of Luzon's Western Peninsula
January 1-3, 2015
Bolinao is the last town at the tip of the province of Pangasinan. The last frontier of the province being at its northernmost tip where there are no other destinations you can go to except to this town. Not much known as compared to the more famous Hundred Islands that is located on the same province, getting to the top of Luzon's western peninsula is a must to discover as it offers far more that what a tourist destination you can expect from a low-land such as the province of Pangasinan.

Mt. Pulag - Sleeping among the clouds. Ambangeg Mapping Expedition
December 27-30, 2014
As a child, we seldom get the dream of sleeping on a puff of cloud among the moon and the stars at night. As we attain that dream and make it to reality, we scale and map the highest peak of the island of Luzon and the Philippines' third highest peak. Towering over the other mountains of the country's largest island and overseeing its whole landmass. Mt. Pulag makes all of this childhood dream come true. Standing over at 2,926 meters above sea level, the view is breathtaking and the memory shall remain as long as we live.
