The White Island is a small solitary sand bar located about 1.5 kilometers off shore from Agoho, the northern side of Camiguin Island. The area is well-known for its very fine white sand, clear and shallow seas and is the best viewpoint for the Hibok-Hibok and Vulcan volcanoes as well as a best place to watch both the sunrise and sunset.
The White Island is the only white beach area along the Camiguin island and is famous as it stands out along the rest and having situated in the middle of Bohol Sea. Similar to Pungtud (Virgin Island) at Panglao, Bohol, it is also solitary. However this island is always there even if it is high tide.

The beach is a great place to take jump shots and take pictures of the rising or the setting sun because nothing is blocking its view.

South of the island is the mainland Camiguin and is also the best viewpoint to see the Hibok-Hibok and Mt. Vulcan volcano.

White Island is accessible at the area where hotels and resorts of Agoho town thrives. Our hotel, Paguia Cottages, arranged the boat ride for us and it cost us P400. It is a 10-minute boat ride from Agoho shore.

Approaching White Island |
The south shore of this island is filled with Sea Urchins so be informed and make sure you wear your beach footwear when walking around. The middle and eastern shallow water part of the island however is the best place to walk around and have your feet splash with the gentle waves around this island. Additionally, the far eastern side of the island is a dive site where sea slugs dominate.
White Island is a must-visit when you have your vacation at Camiguin.
How to get there:
From Benoni Port, ride a multicab for P450 to Paras Resort (or Agoho Town) and ride arrange for a boat from there to send you off to the island. They accept boat rides until 5PM only. You may also ask the resort where you are staying as they may arrange a tour for you to get to this island as well.

However it was Dudut who sent us there and is very recommended as he is honest. We rented a snorkeling gear but was not able to use it except for the vest and instead of costing us P150 each for the rental of snorkeling gear, he instead asked us for P50.
