The project is part of the government's project called Integrated Provincial Transport System (IPTS) to which the Cavite Batangas Bus Terminal is called the Southwest IPTS terminal.
Other planned terminals would be the Southeast IPTS at Alabang Muntinlupa (coor. 14.417801,121.044479) and the north IPTS will be near Trinoma in Quezon City (coor. 14.654172,121.032444).
What does this bus station have for commuters?
If you are from Manila and used to get to Tagaytay, Nasugbu, Calatagan, San Juan or any part of Cavite and Batangas riding along Lawton and Baclaran, you now need to commute to jeepneys or buses coming from EDSA, SLEX, Buendia, and Lawton in Manila to MIA (stands for MIA road or now known as NAIA Road) and drop-off at the end of Roxas Boulevard in Paranaque and cross the street via a foot bridge to the back of Coastal Mall where the bus station is located.

If you are coming from Cavite and Batangas provinces, it only means that your only drop-off point in entering Manila would be at Coastal Mall in Paranaque. You need to ride another commuter bus or jeepney from the streets near this terminal to get you to your usual destination.
How does this bus station affect Manila traffic?
About 1000 buses coming Cavite and Batangas would not be allowed to enter Manila thus, decongesting the traffic. Aside from that, buses that are illegally using the road sides of Roxas Boulevard along Baclaran church as "bus terminals" would no longer be around thus improving the flow of traffic.
